Human Resource Committee Report on(1) Committee Action  on identification and selection of individuals for a working group tasked with work ensuring Board policies enable Board and Department collect necessary teacher retention data and implement bold teacher recruitment and retention strategies (HR Strategic Priority 2); (2) Committee Action on a work plan and timeline to ensure Board policies support the recommendations of the Special Education Task Force's 2018 summative report and the English Learners Task Force's 2018 summative report (HR Strategic Priority 1) 

B. Student Achievement Committee Report on:  (1) Committee Action on identification and selection of individuals for a working group tasked with work ensuring Board policies support student mental and emotional wellbeing, particularly to prevent youth suicide (SAC Strategic Priority 2); (2) Committee Action on a work plan and timeline to ensure Board policies support the recommendations of the Special Education Task Force's 2018 summative report and the English Learners Task Force's 2018 summative report (SAC Strategic Priority 1)

B. Board Action on designation of Board members to an investigative committee (a permitted interaction group pursuant to Hawaii Revised Statutes Section 92-2.5(b)(1)), concerning Board policy positions, Board legislative proposals, and legislative reports for 2020 Legislative Session

This portion of the meeting is a closed meeting under Section 92‑4 and Section 92‑5(a)(4) and (6), Hawaii Revised Statutes.

Written testimony may be submitted on any agenda item. Oral testimony will be accepted at the meeting. Each individual is allotted four (4) minutes, or an amount of time otherwise designated by the Chairperson, to provide oral testimony to the Board. In accordance with Hawaii's Sunshine Law (Hawaii Revised Statutes, Chapter 92), testimony should be related to an item that is on the agenda.
