Any interested person may submit data, views, or arguments in writing to the Board on any agenda item.  An individual or representative wishing to testify should register prior to the meeting.  Testimony must be related to an item that is on the agenda and such person shall be required to identify the agenda item to be addressed by the testimony. Each individual or representative of an organization is allotted two minutes, or an amount of time otherwise designated by the Chairperson, to provide testimony to the Board.

a.      Student Achievement Committee Report on the following: (1) Department of Education's (Department) support of Complex Area Superintendents, Principals, and Teachers in implementing the strategies in Goal 1 of the Department and Board Strategic Plan; (2) recommendation for approval of members on the Hawaii State Adult and Community Education Advisory Council; and, (3) Student Achievement Committee draft agenda calendar for 2013 including reports on the Goal 1 Targets and related metrics contained in the Department and Board Strategic Plan


b.      Report of the Finance and Infrastructure Committee on the following: (1) Implementation of school bus transportation report recommendations; (2) Fiscal reports from December 31, 2012; (3) Department's strategic approach to building 21st Century Schools in Hawaii; and, (4) Discussion/Committee action on Goal 3 targets and related metrics contained in the Department and Board Strategic Plan
