GUIDANCE, COUNSELING AND RELATED SERVICES
POLICY
All Department of Education schools shall provide a program of guidance, counseling, and related services as necessary for the academic, personal, social, and career development of each student. The program shall meet the common needs of all students as well as the unique needs of special populations.
The goals of this program are to help students 1) acquire attitudes, skills, and knowledge that contribute to effective learning; 2) develop personal and interpersonal relationship skills to function independently and relate effectively with others; and 3) understand the world of work and its relationship to education and essential life skills.
