Following the presentation on Inquiry 2 and Subinquiry 2.A, Board Chairperson Catherine Payne will facilitate a discussion among Board Members and Department administration regarding the subject matter of the presentation.
VI. Working Lunch: Further discussion on academic performance (Inquiry 1) and closing the achievement gap (Inquiry 2)
VII. Presentation on Inquiry 3: How do we close the access gap so that all students are college, career, and community ready?
A. Subinquiry: How are we building capacity to empower schools and complex areas, what is needed to support student achievement and school design efforts?
B. Subinquiry: How are we providing safe and healthy learning environments for our students?
Following the presentation on Inquiry 3 and Subinquiries 3.A and 3.B, Board Chairperson Catherine Payne will facilitate a discussion among Board Members and Department administration regarding the subject matter of the presentation.
VIII. Presentation on Inquiry 4: How are we providing equitable supports to mitigate the achievement gap?
A. Subinquiry: How might we foster support through internal and external communication and community partnerships?
Following the presentation on Inquiry 4 and Subinquiry 4.A, Board Chairperson Catherine Payne will facilitate a discussion among Board Members and Department administration regarding the subject matter of the presentation.
Written testimony may be submitted on any agenda item. Oral testimony will be accepted at the meeting. Each individual is allotted four (4) minutes, or an amount of time otherwise designated by the Chairperson, to provide oral testimony to the Board. In accordance with Hawaii's Sunshine Law (Hawaii Revised Statutes, Chapter 92), testimony should be related to an item that is on the agenda.
