The Department of Education Internal Audit Office strongly encourages anyone who observes possible fraudulent and/or unethical behavior in the Department of Education to report it using the confidential DOE Fraud and Ethics Hotline. Anonymous reports are also accepted.

Evaluation of the Superintendent

The Hawaiʻi State Constitution grants the Board of Education the power to appoint the Superintendent.  The Superintendent serves as the chief executive officer of the public school system. The Board evaluates the Superintendent.
